Rank decay in Teamfight Tactics

Only Master and above decay. You bank up to 14 games, and one banked game is used up for each day you do not play. With an empty bank you lose LP every day. Diamond and below never decay.

Placements and the season reset

New ranked players play 5 placement games. During placements a bottom-four finish costs no LP.

Season reset

Every new set brings a soft reset of hidden MMR towards the middle of the ladder, so everyone climbs again from a lower rank.

When does TFT rank decay start?

Only in Master and above, once your 14 banked games run out. Each game you play refills the bank.

Yes. Each set brings a soft MMR reset, so you place and climb again.
