Last reviewed against official sources November 8, 2026
Placements and the season reset
You need 10 Premier WINS, not matches, before your CS Rating is shown, both on a new account and at the start of each Premier season.
Season reset
Every Premier season recalibrates ratings and hides them again until you have 10 wins. Season 5 began in July 2026.
When does the Counter-Strike 2 season end? →Who can you queue with?
Premier parties must be close enough in CS Rating, but Valve has never published the allowed gap. Every player needs Prime status to queue Premier.
- Party sizes
- One to five players.
Where these rules come from
Every rule on this page comes from the developer’s own patch notes, support pages or announcements, and is re-checked whenever a new season or patch lands. Rules we could not confirm there are left out rather than guessed.
