Rank decay in Hearthstone
Hearthstone has no inactivity decay. Your rank holds until the monthly reset.
Placements and the season reset
There are no placement matches. Each month you restart at Bronze 10 with a Star Bonus multiplier based on how high you finished, which speeds the climb back up.
Season reset
Every month on the 1st, everyone, Legend included, returns to Bronze 10 with a Star Bonus, and hidden MMR carries over. Rank floors at 10 and 5 of each league stop you dropping below them within the month.
