Blizzard's own figure for November 2019, the last month it published one. Blizzard's earlier figure, from 2015, was under 0.5%. Both predate the 2020 ladder rework, which made Legend somewhat easier to reach, so today's share is likely a little higher.

Reading the ladder

Legend is the only rank with an official number

Hearthstone's ladder resets every month to Bronze 10, and Blizzard has only ever published how many players reach the top of it. Below Legend, the Bronze to Diamond leagues were introduced after Blizzard's last published breakdown, so there is no official figure for them, and we will not invent one.

Methodology

Where these numbers come from

Blizzard published Standard ladder distributions in 2015 and in November 2019, both counting players who played at least one ranked game in the month. The 2019 release is the most recent; its Legend figure is shown here as a milestone. The rest of that release used the old rank 25 to 1 ladder, which does not map onto today's Bronze to Diamond leagues, so it is left out. We will update the page if Blizzard publishes a breakdown for the current ladder.
