Reading the ladder

Why the top of the ladder is so thin

Call of Duty's Ranked Play ladder is built on skill rating, and the last two divisions are steep: Crimson starts at 7,500 SR and Iridescent at 10,000, with the Top 250 above that as a leaderboard. The one official breakdown Treyarch shared showed only a few percent of players at Crimson or higher, which is the shape any SR ladder with those thresholds ends up with.

Methodology

Where these numbers come from

Neither Activision nor Treyarch has published a Black Ops 7 rank distribution, and no tracker publishes a complete one. The closest official figures are the Modern Warfare II Season 2 breakdown Treyarch shared in 2023 for the same ladder, which we show as top-of-ladder milestones and label as an estimate. Full tables circulating for Black Ops 7 reuse those 2023 numbers without saying so; we do not repeat them. We will replace this with real Black Ops 7 figures if they are published.
