Riot doesn’t announce Night Market dates far in advance, so instead of guessing, this guide covers how the feature actually works, the schedule it has followed since launch, and exactly where the start date shows up when it lands.

What Is the Valorant Night Market?

The Night.Market is a periodic extension of the in-game store, first added in patch v1.14 during Episode 01: IGNITION Act 3. Whenever one opens, you get six random weapon skin offers, each discounted between 10% and 49%.

Two things worth knowing before you get your hopes up:

  • The offers are generated per player. Your six cards are not the same as your friends’.
  • You get one set per Night Market, and once revealed it stays fixed for the whole run. There is no rerolling.

How Often Does the Night Market Come Back?

Across 34 appearances since December 2020, the pattern has been consistent: roughly one Night Market per Act, usually running for two to four weeks. It typically opens alongside an Act’s patch rather than on a fixed calendar date, which is why the gap between them moves around by a few weeks.

That cadence is the most reliable guide you have. If an Act has just started and no Night Market has appeared yet, one is usually still to come.

Which Skins Can Show Up?

The Night Market is not a free-for-all across every skin ever released. Offers are drawn from Select, Deluxe and Premium edition gun skins, plus most knives tied to those tiers. A skin also has to have been in the store for at least two Acts before it becomes eligible, so brand-new bundles never appear.

These never show up in the Night Market:

  • Gear skins and Battle Pass skins
  • Melee skins priced above 1250 Valorant Points
  • Exclusive and Ultra edition guns, and knives from those collections

In practice that means the Night Market is where older bundles and rare skins from past Acts turn up cheaply – not the newest headline release.

How to Open the Night Market

When a Night Market is live, finding it takes seconds:

  • Launch Valorant and look at the top right of the main menu.
  • A special card icon appears there for the duration of the event.
  • Click it to open your personalised Night Market.
  • Click each of the six mystery cards to reveal the skin and its discount.

Reveal them at your own pace – the offers behind the cards are already decided and will not change.

How to Tell When the Next One Starts

Because Riot Games keeps the exact date quiet until it is nearly here, the dependable signals are:

  • The patch notes. Night Markets open with an Act’s patch, so the notes are usually the first official confirmation.
  • The in-game client. The card icon in the top right is the definitive answer – if it is there, it is live.
  • Official channels, such as the Valorant account and in-game news.

Treat third-party “leaked date” posts with caution. Predicted windows circulate widely and are often wrong – a commonly shared forecast of a late-July 2025 Night Market missed by weeks, since the real one ran July 10–24.

Make the Most of It

The Night Market is the cheapest reliable route to a skin you actually want, so it pays to go in with Valorant Points already banked rather than scrambling once the cards are revealed. Since the offers are random, patience across several Acts beats hoping for a specific skin in any single one.
