Combat fame gained from slaying creatures is utilized to advance specialization and mastery nodes on the destiny board, determined by which equipment slot contributed the highest damage. Should a node for a specific item reach level 100, you will receive Combat fame credits instead.
How do you earn Combat Fame?+
You can acquire Combat Fame through these methods:
- Regarding the "most damage" part: If a different player lands the final hit on a creature you were battling alone, you retain all Combat fame for contributing the most damage, whereas the other player receives zero. This logic extends to loot as well. The identical principle governs competing parties: the party responsible for the most damage claims all rewards and loot, leaving other parties with nothing. Likewise, if you engage a boss solo in a dungeon and a group arrives at 40% health to finish it, that group earns nothing, while you secure all the Combat fame and loot;
- Regarding the "equipment slot": it is determined by the gear the player has equipped at the moment Combat fame is awarded;
- Adding Combat fame credits to a node or consuming tomes of insight also helps increase your Combat fame.
- Slaying player characters (note that knockdowns are excluded);
