A rank badge is the easiest thing on a listing to misread
Two accounts can both say Diamond and be completely different purchases. Before you pay, read these three fields on the card together rather than one at a time.

Where the account sits right now, and in which queue. Solo and Flex are separate ranks — the card shows which one the badge refers to.
- 2The LP gain per win
LP per win reflects the MMR behind the rank. A Diamond account gaining 14 LP a win is being matched below its badge; one gaining 31 is being matched above it. You can filter by this directly, and the difference shows up in every game you play.
- 3The champion pool
Twenty owned champions is the floor for ranked, not a comfortable pool. Check the champion count against the roles you actually play, and the Blue Essence against what is still missing.

LP per win reflects the MMR sitting behind the rank. Strong LP gain means the account has been winning against opponents at its own tier, so the next climb starts from a better position than the badge alone shows.
- 3Rare and legacy skins
Limited edition, legacy, and mythic skins cannot be bought back once their window has closed. That scarcity is what separates two accounts with the same skin count.
- 4Skin count
Total skin count is stored value even when none of them are rare. Each one was RP somebody already spent.
- 5Champion pool
A deep pool is playable the day it arrives. A thin one means you spend Blue Essence before you can flex roles in ranked.
- 6Blue Essence and RP left on the account
Unspent BE lets you choose which champions to unlock instead of inheriting somebody else's picks, and leftover RP is money already on the account. Both show on the card.

An account is played on the server it was made on. Riot sells a region transfer for 2,600 RP, but ranked standing does not carry across intact, so a cheap account on the wrong server is rarely the saving it looks like.

What Actually Puts a Bought Account at Risk
Most of what goes wrong with a bought account happens in the weeks after the purchase rather than during it, and almost all of it comes down to access and behaviour. Both are inside your control. These are buyer habits rather than promises from us.
Change the email and the password as soon as the order lands, and turn on two-factor authentication on both. The checklist at the end of this page is the five-minute version.
Play normally for the first stretch. Sudden bursts of activity on an account that has just changed hands are what stand out, so an ordinary run of games is the safer start.
Keep it on your own machine and your own connection, and keep any VPN off for League. A login pattern that jumps between countries is the one most likely to attract a security check.
Don't share the login or let a friend play a few games on it. Once credentials are out of your hands you cannot take them back, and the warranty does not cover it.
Don't run scripts, external overlays, or any third-party tool on the account. Riot bans for this however the account was obtained, and a ban you caused is not a fault we can replace against.
Don't buy an account you cannot get full email access to, here or anywhere else. Without the email you cannot change the address on the Riot account, and whoever still holds it can recover the account from you.

Devices
The account lives on the Riot account, not on a machine. Install the client anywhere and sign in. Nothing is tied to the computer it was played on before.
Servers
Check the server on the card before you buy. An EUW account is played on EUW, and moving it later means a paid Riot transfer followed by fresh placements on the new server. If you are buying for the rank, buy on the server you already play.

Sign in to the delivered email account. Change its password, replace the recovery phone number and recovery email with your own, and turn on two-factor authentication in the provider’s security settings.

Go to Riot’s account management page and sign in with the delivered League credentials.

Change the email address on the Riot account to one you own. Riot sends a verification link to the new address, and the change only takes effect once you click it.

Set a new Riot account password that you have not used anywhere else, and do not keep the one you were sent.

Turn on Multi-Factor Authentication from the card of that name. Riot sends the confirmation to whichever email is on the account, which is why this step comes after the email change and not before.
On timing: Run all five in one sitting, before you queue for the first game. There is no advantage to spacing them out, and the credentials you were sent keep working until you have changed them.
